I just finished reading 2 pages on wedding bee boards about things that people hate at weddings. A lot of them revolve around weddings being boring and lame traditions that guests do not look forward to. My fiance & I have discussed and there are things that we simply won't be doing. Because we don't want to.
1) No bouquet/garter toss
2) No lame dances (YMCA, electric slide etc)
3) No cake cutting... not even a mini cake (yay cupcakes!)
4) No unity candle, sand pouring
5) No banquet halls
6) Pictures before the wedding
7) A gift registry
8) No money dance
Someone made a comment about 'the head table' being weird - like the entire wedding party being on display for everyone. I also saw a recent picture of the wedding party sitting at a round table instead and my first thought: "Wow, they look so cozy and intimate". Just thinking...

love, love, love the blog.
we're getting married just a week after you, oon 10/17.
Going for a 1940s glam theme, and somehow in the wilds of Google came across your blog. And your DIY'd bout's. Oh, the bout's.
Can you please tell me where you found the cream flowers? I can't find anything quite like them.
You are so far ahead of me right now, I'd kind of like to hate you. But! You're helping me get motivated and bring this wedding together.
Thanks!

I am not even sue how I came across your blog, but I did and I love all your ideas! My fiance and I agree on not doing a lot of those stupid things as well. I wonder how you stick to your vintage theme so well. Ours is a movie glam theme and well, its hard! Sometimes I see other ideas and I think, lets change the theme! Anywho, I love your thoughts!
