For the kitchen

On Tuesday, my brother-in-law came over to start the baseboard project for the house. We removed all the old ones prior to painting. We replaced with 5 inch tall Victorian style baseboards, painted to match the white door trim (I'll be posting pics later). With the kitchen baseboards completed, I'm contemplating what I want to do with the eat-in nook.
The color scheme I'm working with is gray, black & white. I want to get a bistro table with tall seating. Perhaps place this fabulous Ikea Stockholm rug underneath to give the area some separation from the kitchen. The kitchen has a nice bay-style window that jets out over the sink. It's perfect for growing fresh herbs. I love this idea of using chalkboard paint over plant pots. I can just write what I'm growing on the pot. I also want to make my own framed chalkboard to place on the wall.
