Our bedroom is finally finished and I'm really happy with how it all turned out. The trees are actually vinyl decals that I purchased from Pop Wall on etsy. I must admit, it's pretty fun sleeping under a forest of trees. The decals were pretty easy to apply and took about an hour to do. A lot easier than actually painting the wall right? Although just like hanging wallpaper, there are a couple of spots that have unavoidable "bubbles" due to the fact that the wall isn't 100% smooth.
The duvet cover is from Dwell Studio for Target. It's such a bold pattern - I love it! I also added a white throw from Ikea. It's really fluffy and has these stretchy ruffles in it. I think it adds an interesting texture to the bed. The sheets are also from Ikea. Honestly, Ikea makes the best sheets. They are inexpensive and they only get softer with each wash. I've purchased sets from Target and designer brand sheets that I've been really unhappy with. Target sheets, especially the darker ones, tend to have mismatched dye colors. The pillowcase will be a different color than the flat sheet. Plus, they tend to pill after 2 washes.
I mixed in these bud vases from Ikea. I love all the different textures. Like I've said, I wanted to mix in real elements of nature. One way was with these birch tree tealight holders that I purchased from this etsy seller.
If you remember my inspiration post for this room, you can see what worked and what didn't. For one, I went with matching table lighting instead of the Ikea pattern lamps. The Ikea ones were a little overwhelming for the space. These smaller ones are from Target.
One thing that I really love about our new bedroom is the mood it creates. It takes on a whole different feel at night with creative lighting. I had been admiring this leaf pattern hurricane lantern at Target for a while. It was originally $30 and I picked it up on clearance for $6. I was so stoked. I think I jumped up and down a little in the store. haha.

What a relaxing space! I'm trying to achieve a similar sort of feel for our bedroom, but these projects will be on hold until after our wedding this October.
