The weather was insanely gorgeous. It felt like early summer and it was so nice to eat & entertain outside. I love outdoor decorations as well. So many festive options.
I went a little color crazy. Bright orange, coral, navy & blue. I designed an invitation too, but sent it electronically this time. I've always wanted to incorporate a vintage playbill format...

I found these string lights at Target last season, but I think they still carry them. The lantern garland was a great find from Party City for just $5.
The centerpieces were sort of an afterthought. Usually I'm all about master planned tablescapes, but this time I just threw stuff together. Gary brought me birthday flowers, so I divided them into two centerpieces. The vases are coffee cans I covered in wrapping paper.
I think I'm in love with these teal colored glasses from Home Goods. Glad I picked up two of them. Although in hindsight, perhaps I should have gotten four. At the rate I'm breaking glassware these days, I'll be luckily if they survive the year.
We have some amazing friends I tell you. I wish I had gotten pictures with everybody, but here's just a few of the wonderful people that celebrated with us. It was such a treat to see friends that I haven't seen in a while. Life is busy, ya know? Thanks everyone for making it a memorable birthday.
