Just before Father's Day I arrived at the halfway point of the banister makeover. Per usual the project was derailed due to other life stuff getting in the way. Some freelance work mainly - but I'm not going to complain about that!
It feels soooo good to be done with this project. The banister was one of the first things I wanted to change after we bought our house back in 2009 and I'm proud of myself for being up to the task. By the way, did I mention that this whole project only cost $60?! Inspiring right?

A reverse shot next to the painted cabinets I refinished earlier this year.
So much nicer! I can actually look at the hallway now without cringing.
