Fall / Winter Pillows

Despite the 90 degree weather we're still experiencing in So Cal the forecast in our living room says it's Fall. I made these pillow covers for the colder months using my favorite new crafting cheat - Steam A Seam tape. Basically I just laid out my existing pillow covers, traced the pattern and added an inch to all sides. An hour later I had these lovelies.

I found the plaid fabric at Ikea. For the deer silhouette, I traced the pattern onto a large piece of felt and affixed using the seam tape. Sorry, I don't recall where I found the clipart for this. I've had it in my DIY folder for ages - Like pre-Pinterest times. Gasp.

I'm loving the new vibe in our living room. From this angle you can see the newest table lamp. It's this gorgeous gold sculpture piece that I found at Target. I couldn't find a price on it so I took it to the register. The clerk couldn't find the price either. He gave it to me for $5.99, final sale. Sold!

On the opposite side of the room I added a faux black sheepskin rug to the armchair and this gilded faux bois print pillow from Patch NYC. Both from Target on clearance.
