Halloween party recap: Tablescape

The appetizer spread was quite extensive this year. I spent all day in the kitchen and was so exhausted that I could barely keep my party on until midnight. Well, at least everyone enjoyed them. On the menu was...
Crab stuffed mushrooms
Artichoke & spinach pastry cups
Herbed snake bread sticks
Bacon wrapped water chestnuts
Spicy bacon cheddar fondue
Brie & spiced pear crostini
Devil's food & cream cheese cupcakes

I went with a simple autumn inspired tablescape. Tree branches and floating candles cast an elegant glow.

These are the snake bread sticks

Paper goods from Target, of course.

Believe me, this cupcake had it coming.

The menu cards were a DIY project. I found bulk plastic vampire fangs at Target / 8 for $1. I bent the fangs 90 degrees and hot glued thick gauge floral wire to the back of them to keep the shape. Next, I spray painted them metallic silver and let them dry overnight. Using black acrylic paint and a wide bristle brush, I weathered them a bit. They are a bit fragile but worked just fine for the night.
