Remember this post from the end of 2010? Well, better late than never right?!
Perhaps you've been wondering where I've been lately, blogging-wise. Well, being pregnant and planning for the baby's arrival has been monopolizing quite a bit of my attention. I'll be sharing a few more details (including the gender reveal) very soon. But first, I wanted to take a moment and explain what this momentous change in my life means for Love & Lace.
At its core, this blog has always been a lifestyle blog. If you've been following me for a while you know that it began with planning our wedding and transitioned with us as we nested in our first home. While I have always been rather comfortable giving the whole world a peek into my life, my husband doesn't share the same enthusiasm. That's why I try to keep his mentions to a minimum. And while I'd love to just gush forever about all the amazing things I'm experiencing right now and post gratuitous photos of my future child ad nauseam, I realize that it's not just about me. It's about this child and the fact that there are evils in the world. Sick and crazy people. And corporations that will sell your privacy for pennies. Our child didn't sign up for this - We did. Most people probably don't give a second thought to this but it's something that my husband and I feel strongly about.
All that said, what does this mean for Love & Lace?
It will continue as a lifestyle & design blog, sans photos or details of our child. I will be posting a few things here because they pertain to the topics I've always posted about -
- Decorating: I'll be sharing details about nursery planning and the completed results
- Party Planning: Baby shower inspiration boards and party pics
- Graphic Design: Shower invites and nursery artwork
- DIY Projects: Things I craft for the nursery
- Fashion: Maternity dressing tips in my regular Style Parade posts
I'll be saving the remainder of the details for a private blog that I've set up reserved for family and friends.

Yay, so exciting! Congratulations and I can't wait to read about the details you are comfortable sharing :)
Congrats!!
What wonderful news! Congratulations to you and your hubby :)
Everything of the best in the coming months,
Congrats! That is wonderful and exciting. I've always been a fan of your blog since I found it. I did not post anything about being pregnant or babies on mine either. Partially for the same reason as you, and partially just because I didn't want to have that kind of blog. So you go, girl.
