Bathroom Makeover Progress

Last weekend we made some significant progress on the upstairs bathroom makeover. I'll also be referring to this space as part of the "baby suite" since it's the bathroom that adjoins to her nursery. As a reminder, this was the space before...

...And after!

Well for the most part. We're still working on the vanity area. The mister was so kind as to handle the painting while I sat on the other wing of the house in an effort to preserve our baby's brain cells. I'm sure it's not a shade for everyone's taste, but I love how the bright green turned out. It's Lowes Valspar paint in Cosmic Green. I joked that we could turn this room into a green screen studio.

We also hung the mini Ikea Maskros pendant. Even though it's the mini version, this light is still huge! The mister and my mom were not fans because they hit their heads on it. It does hang over the toilet though and made of paper so it's not that bad in my opinion. Besides, our daughter will be very short for sometime. I think it will be a great visual feature to distract her during bath time.

The "A" is for the first initial of her name. And for those of you wondering, no - it's not Audrey. Keep guessing!

Pendant light from Ikea
Shower curtain (converted from curtain panel) from Target.

As for the vanity area, this is what I have planned for furnishings. I wanted to create a space that both she and myself would enjoy. Some might say it's "too grown up" for a baby but I see it more as a space for a "little lady in training." The "good morning gorgeous" is a little DIY idea I have for the medicine cabinet. Hopefully it will turnout nicely.

Wow, it's looking great! I'm not a huge fan of traditional "baby" decor, so this is perfect. Your daughter will definitely be a "little lady in training". My guess is Anabel ;)

Wow, what a makeover! I like that it's more sophisticated that your usual baby girl spaces and furnishings.
